Core: Prioritize preventing circuit short circuits and brake failure, then guard against component corrosion. Divided into two steps: immediate handling (within 1 hour) and in-depth maintenance (within 24 hours), covering key points for all three vehicle types.
Exterior CleaningRinse wheels, brake discs, chains (for bicycles/motorcycles), and cargo racks (for tricycles) with low-pressure clean water. Use a soft-bristled brush to clear debris from gaps, then wipe the vehicle body with a dry cloth.
Electrical Component Drying (Critical)
- Battery Compartment: Open the cover to check for water accumulation. Wipe with a damp cloth and dry with cold air from a hair dryer if there is slight moisture; contact professional maintenance personnel if obvious water accumulation is found. Wipe plugs with electrical contact cleaner.
- Motor/Controller: Wipe the motor housing and wiring ports. For tricycles, inspect the sealing rubber ring of the rear axle motor for debris infiltration.
- Instrument Panel/Lights: Wipe the surface. If fogging occurs inside the lights, ventilate to dry (avoid high temperatures).
- Brake Inspection
- Disc Brakes: Wipe the brake disc, gently squeeze the brake lever to friction off water; clear debris from brake pads if abnormal noise occurs.
- Drum Brakes (Common on Tricycles): Repeatedly squeeze the brake lever to expel moisture. If braking performance drops significantly, disassemble and clean later.
- Transmission Lubrication
- Bicycles/Motorcycles: After the chain is completely dry, spray special chain lubricant and wipe off excess.
- Tricycles: Inspect the sealing sleeve of the rear axle drive shaft and add gear oil regularly.
- Tires & Circuits
- Clear debris from tire treads and inflate to the recommended pressure.
- Wrap key circuit connectors with insulating tape or apply silicone sealant for extra protection.
- Rust PreventionSpray rust inhibitor on metal components (screws, cargo racks, etc.). Apply lubricant to the hinges of foldable bicycles.
- Electric Bicycles: Clean and lubricate folding hinges; wipe battery compartment contacts for lithium battery models.
- Electric Motorcycles: Send the instrument panel for repair if water enters; check for water accumulation in the wiring under the seat.
- Electric Tricycles: Inspect cargo rack screws; focus on maintaining the rear axle and brake drum.
- Do not charge immediately after riding in the rain (allow at least 2 hours of drying time).
- Do not dry electrical components with high-temperature hot air.
- Do not apply lubricant to brake components.
Do not use ordinary lubricant instead of special chain oil.
